UAH Chargers set to play for CHA Title
After last night's 4-2 win over the Niagara Purple Peagles, the Chargers are going to get a shot at the CHA's bid to the NCAA Tournament... Standing in the way are the Bemidji State Beavers who for all intents and purposes have home-ice advantage at the "neutral" site of Grand Rapids, Minnesota which is just down the road from Bemidji.
The "Boys in Blue" played well last night in the win. Jumping out to 3-1 lead, the Chargers held on with a late empty netter for the win. Our hotel here, Country Inn and Suites, is great. They do all the little things right.
Today should be interesting for sure. We get to deal with a live national broadcast on CSTV and all the headaches that accompany that. The rivalry between the two teams continues with a lot on the line for sure.
As for me, I feel terrible. I have a stuffy nose and a scratchy throat. A win tonight would make me forget that though.

Waiting on Air Force One....
It's not everyday when you're taxiing out for takeoff that the pilot comes over the intercom and announces that there's going to be a short delay as we are waiting for Air Force One to take off!! Sitting on the runway in Memphis, the right side of our plane got a view of our Commander in Chief taking off but alas I was on the left side after my seat was switched when I went to board. President Bush was in Memphis as part of his tour to garner support for revamping social security.
All in all it wasn't that bad of a travel day. Getting up at 4:30 is the pitts though. I have to say that the Minneapolis Airport is the nicest I've ever been to. Great shops, great places to eat and things just flow so great.
The Chargers take the ice tomorrow afternoon against the Purple Eagles of Niagara. It will be a tough contest for UAH but we're due for a win in this stinking CHA Tournament since we've lost our last three.

Where do I begin????
This is one of those things I've been meaning to do for a long time but just have never gotten around to doing. This is going to be brief today since I have a ton on my plate. I leave at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow for the CHA hockey tournament in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Yes, Minnesota, not Michigan. The high temp there tomorrow is going to 15 degrees with a low of -2 on Friday night. It's going to hit a balmy 22 degrees on Sunday and Monday. I guess I'm griping about the cold since we woke up this morning with no heat. It seems our heat pump doesn't want to work.
I'm interested to see how our Chargers will fare this weekend. The last two tournaments we've lost our first game there after falling in overtime in the championship game three years ago.
I think I'm finally getting back to normal from Leah's stay in the hospital last week. I was so exhausted last weekend. I'm sure this trip won't help matters any. This afternoon we will see if our baseball team can get off its slide. Starting 2-8, the Chargers have had a rough go of it so far this season.
It's going to be a long weekend for sure. I just pray Leah's headaches go away since she has another one this morning. It's beginning to be an every other day thing it seems.
I have rambled long enough. Time to start packing and then get ready for work.
